To turn these off:
1.Start Regedit
2.Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\policies\system
3.If it is not already there, create a DWORD value named DisableStatusMessages
4.Give it a value of 1
