Low Revenue, Facebook Start "Selling" Application


Facebook began selling apps. Paid applications will be collected in one place called App Center. App Center itself will be launched within the next few weeks.

App Center is prepared in conjunction with the launch of Facebook IPO is estimated at 77 to 96 billion U.S. dollars. The key concern of investors is the slow growth of Facebook revenue, due to more limited exposure to advertising on Facebook.

In a prospectus filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on Wednesday (04.09.2012), Facebook said that the popularity of mobile devices led to daily users is growing faster than the number of advertising messages.

Facebook has been getting revenue from online advertising, plus a social application that provides income, such as Farmville et al. Players in social games to reach the pockets do not hesitate to increase the level or earn some unique items in the game.

App Center, will later allow software developers to sell applications directly to consumers. Payment must be via Facebook Credits, the payment system that has been held up, the scheme would give up 30 percent of the sale of applications at the App Center.

During this time, the application is quite popular on Facebook, including social services and game music. According to Facebook, there are about 200 applications on Facebook which has more than 1 million users.

App Center will have an application that is designed for PCs and mobile devices like the Apple iPhone and Google Android. At the time of installation, the applications available on the App Center will be connected to the Apple App Store and Google Play (the OS that is used by the user).

App Center will display the main page quality score recommended by the user, or based on data collected up, such as how often the applications that are downloaded and how long a person using the application. One with the other users will see a different interface, because Facebook does not provide the standard version.
